Age appropriate material
GrrCON is an adult conference with adult themes, language, material, and situations. Children are allowed with adult supervision at the discretion of their legal guardian. MidWest InfoSec LLC cannot be held responsible in any fashion for any inappropriate situations children in attendance may be exposed to. We encourage you to leave your under age children at home. You have been warned.
Registration Refunds
Refunds are not available. If you purchase a ticket and cannot attend simply give or sell your ticket to another party. The ticket is valid for one entry regardless of who possesses it.
Conduct policy
MidWest InfoSec LLC is dedicated to providing a harassment-free conference experience for everyone, regardless of gender, gender identity and expression, sexual orientation, disability, physical appearance, body size, race, age, religion, hair color, shoe size, or anything similar. We do not tolerate harassment of conference participants in any form. [Sexual language and imagery is not appropriate for any conference venue, including talks.] Conference participants violating these rules may be sanctioned or expelled from the conference [without a refund] at the discretion of the conference organizers. We believe our community should be truly open for everyone. As such, we are committed to providing a friendly, safe and welcoming environment for all, regardless of gender, sexual orientation, disability, ethnicity, or religion.

This code of conduct outlines our expectations for participant behavior, as well as the consequences for unacceptable behavior.

We invite all sponsors, speakers, attendees, media, exhibitors and other participants to help us realize a safe and positive conference experience for everyone.

Unacceptable behavior:
  • Unacceptable behaviors include: harassing, abusive, discriminatory, derogatory, or demeaning conduct by any attendees of the event and related event activities.
  • Harassment includes: offensive verbal comments related to gender, sexual orientation, race, religion, disability; inappropriate use of nudity and/or sexual images in public spaces; deliberate intimidation, stalking or following; harassing photography or recording; sustained disruption of talks or other events; inappropriate physical contact..
  • Physical or verbal abuse, intimidation, threats, annoyance, harassment, stalking, pushing, shoving or use of any physical force whatsoever against any person, which in any way creates a disturbance that is disruptive or dangerous, or creates apprehension in a person, as determined by UBM and its show management, in their sole discretion.
  • Possession of any item that can be used as a weapon.
  • Any lewd or offensive behavior or language, using sexually explicit or offensive language or conduct, profanity, obscene gestures, or racial, religious or ethnic slurs,
  • Possessing any open can, bottle or other receptacle containing any alcoholic beverages, except in areas specifically designated for the consumption of alcohol.
  • Please drink responsibly.
  • Possessing any illegal substance, including but not limited to narcotics, marijuana, or other illegal drugs. UBM does not tolerate the use or abuse of illegal substances anywhere in the Venue.
  • Smoking – other than in designated areas.
  • Assembling for the purpose of, or resulting in, disturbing the peace, or committing any unlawful act or engaging in any offensive behavior.
  • Failure to obey any rules or regulations of the Venue or directions from event staff.

Consequences of unacceptable behavior:

Unacceptable behavior will not be tolerated whether by other attendees, media, speakers, volunteers, organizers, venue staff, sponsors, or exhibitors. Anyone asked to stop unacceptable behavior is expected to comply immediately.

If a participant engages in unacceptable behavior, the conference organizers may take any action they deem appropriate, up to and including expulsion from the conference without warning or refund.
We also reserve the right to involve law enforcement as needed.

What to do if you witness or are subjected to unacceptable behavior If you are subjected to unacceptable behavior, notice that someone else is being subjected to unacceptable behavior, or have any other concerns, please notify a conference staff as soon as possible.

Event Staff will be available to help participants contact venue security or local law enforcement, to provide escorts, or to otherwise assist those experiencing unacceptable behavior to feel safe for the duration of the conference. You can report unacceptable behavior to any member of staff.

We expect all conference participants (staff, sponsors, volunteers, speakers, attendees, and other guests) to abide by this code of conduct at all conference-related events.

Food Options
We make no guarantees that food will be available that meets any dietary requirements. If you have any such requirements you are welcome to leave the conference and seek out more suitable offerings.
Will presentations be available?
Presentations may be posted on via link on the Archive page of GrrCON.com when available. There is no guarantee that all or any presentation will be made available. We do not distribute presentation materials.
Are translation services available?
The Conference is presented in English only. No translation services are available.
We reserve the right to alter any and all schedules, speakers, presentations, prizes, food/beverages, items, registration inclusions, or any other aspect provided at GrrCON at anytime. Access to sessions may be restricted by seating capacity and is not guaranteed.

The very nature of the conference dictates that you are responsible to provide only the information you deem appropriate. ID is not required to gain entrance into GrrCON, simply a physical copy of the ticket.

Information you provide upon registration is not verified or in no way validated, you may enter what you feel is appropriate. Cash is accepted at the door until event capacity is reached for those wishing to remain completely anonymous.

Names, Postal addresses, Telephone numbers, Email Addresses, and other personally identifying information may be collected from our attendees and may be used by MidWest InfoSec LLC, affiliates, sponsors, and its advertisers for promotional purpose and may be rented and/or licensed to select outside firms for promotional purposes.

Opt-Out Requests

If you do not want to receive post or electronic communications regarding GrrCON from MidWest InfoSec LLC, you may opt out by simply emailing Optout@GrrCON.com with the subject line “Opt Out”. Third parties are responsible for providing their own “Opt Out” mechanisms.
