GrrCON FatAss Fungeons and Rungons

🏰 Hear Ye, Brave Adventurers! 🏰

From the shadows of the realm emerges this year’s most treacherous trial of endurance and wit:  ✨Fatass Fungeons and Rungons✨ A twist of steel, sweat, and sorcery upon the storied Fatass Fun Run 1K.  Gather close and heed these words, for the path is not for the faint of heart:  

  • Form Your Party: Assemble a band of three adventurers to face the trials ahead. Should you arrive solo, fear not, fate shall weave your alliances at the Dungeon’s Gate.  
  • Claim Your Relic: Each hero may bear one magical item of choice to aid in their quest. Yet beware: only artifacts lawful in the mortal realm (and safe to wield in public) shall be permitted.  
  • The Trials Await: Along the perilous course, you will face cunning foes, dire conditions, and challenges both arcane and absurd. Only the most cunning and swift of adventuring parties will escape the dungeon and cross the finish line first.  

So sharpen your blades, lace your boots, and ready your hearts, for this is no mere run…  This is a quest of endurance and glory, a race where laughter and peril stride hand in hand.  The dungeon stirs. The gate creaks open.  

Will your name be sung in victory, or whispered in cautionary tavern tales?  

 

Participants and spectators MUST meet at GrrCON main registration by 8:30 AM on Fri, October 3rd, 2025 

 

Here’s what you need to know:

  1. Sign up your team of three, or sign up solo and we’ll make your team for you.
  2. Bring your own Magic Item! There will be prizes for the best overall, and some secret prizes we’ll announce at the end of the race. Be creative, and you might find yourself taking home a prize, even if your team can’t win a 1K race.
  3. THE MAGIC ITEM MUST BE LEGAL BOTH TO OWN AND TO CARRY OPENLY ON A PUBLIC STREET. NO WEAPONS ARE PERMITTED. LEAVE YOUR MALL NINJA KATANA AT HOME, YA WEEB.
  4. You’ll be given 5 minutes to strategize with your team at the start of the race. You will need it. 
  5. A costume is not required to participate in the race, but those who choose to do so will be eligible for more sweet prizes. 
  6. Participate at your own risk of health, wellbeing, legal status, and sanity. GrrCON provides no warranties, guarantees or assertions to your ability to participate. 
  7. Prices and participation may vary, but we’re not above being bribed.
  8. Participants and spectators MUST meet at registration by 8:30 AM on Fri, OCT 3rd, 2025

We reserve the right to alter any and all schedules, speakers, presentations, prizes, food/beverages, items, or any other aspect provided at GrrCON at anytime. Access to sessions may be restricted by seating capacity. Ticket Refunds are not available. If requested we MAY be able to transfer your ticket to a different attendee. You MUST present your ticket upon entry of GrrCON. The very nature of the conference dictates that you are responsible to provide only the information you deem appropriate. ID is not required to gain entrance into GrrCON, simply a physical copy of the ticket. We make no guarantees on the privacy of any information provided.
